J.I. Packer published Knowing God in 1973. The book is organized around the question of what it means to know God, drawing on Scripture, the Westminster Catechism, and the broader Reformed tradition. Packer examines God's attributes–his wisdom, justice, mercy, and sovereignty–and discusses how knowledge of God should shape Christian life. The work has been read widely within evangelical and Reformed churches.
